Session-by-Session Analysis

Best Forex Broker for All Trading Sessions

Asian session, London session, New York session — we measured real spreads across all three. Here is which broker wins at every hour of the trading day.

Most broker comparisons measure spreads during the London-New York overlap — the peak liquidity window. But if you trade across multiple sessions or live in Asia, Africa, or the Middle East, you need a broker that performs well outside peak hours too. We tested Exness, JustMarkets, XM, PU Prime, and CoinExx at 30-minute intervals across all three sessions over 4 weeks.

The Three Forex Sessions Explained

Asian Session
Tokyo + Sydney: 22:00 GMT (Sun) — 08:00 GMT (Mon-Fri)

Lower overall volatility. JPY, AUD, NZD pairs most active. Gold (XAUUSD) can spike on Tokyo fixing. Spreads widen on EUR/USD but tighten on JPY pairs. The Sunday open at 22:00 GMT is the most volatile moment in the weekly cycle for most pairs.

USD/JPY

GBP/USD

London Session
London open: 08:00 GMT — 16:00 GMT

Highest volume session. EUR, GBP pairs extremely active. Major economic releases (CPI, PMI, NFP preview). Tightest spreads on EUR/USD and GBP/USD. Best session for scalpers and day traders targeting European pairs.

New York Session
New York open: 13:00 GMT — 21:00 GMT (London overlap: 13:00–16:00)

USD pairs extremely active. NFP, FOMC, CPI move all majors dramatically. London-NY overlap (13:00–16:00 GMT) is the single highest-volume window of the week. Spreads remain tight through 20:00 GMT then widen toward rollover.

Session Performance by Broker

Exness — Best Overall Across All Sessions

Exness holds the most consistent spreads across all three sessions. On their Raw Spread account, EUR/USD rarely exceeds 0.4 pips even during quiet Asian hours. XAUUSD spreads during the Asian session are notably tighter than competitors. Exness is the clear choice if you trade 24/5 across all pairs.

JustMarkets — Best Value for Multi-Session Beginners

JustMarkets performs well during peak sessions and offers competitive spreads during London and New York. Their Standard account widens slightly more than Exness during Asian hours, but their $1 minimum deposit and copy trading feature make them the best-value entry for traders who cannot afford Exness minimum lots.

PU Prime — Best for London Session ECN

PU Prime consistently delivers sub-0.1 pip EUR/USD spreads during the London session on their Prime account. Execution is fast and consistent. Their Asian session spreads are slightly wider than Exness, making them the second-best all-session broker for traders with larger account sizes.

XM Group — Best for Education Across All Sessions

XM offers a wealth of live webinars and session-specific education. Their spreads during London and New York are solid on Zero account. Asian session performance is average. Best for newer traders who want to learn session dynamics alongside real trading.

CoinExx — Best for US/Canada All-Session Access

CoinExx is the only broker in this comparison that accepts US and Canadian traders. Their spreads across all three sessions are competitive with raw ECN pricing. Ideal for North American traders who cannot use the other four brokers, and also for traders in restricted jurisdictions who need reliable 24/5 access.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which forex broker has the best spreads during the Asian session?
Exness offers the most consistent spreads during the Asian session. On their Raw Spread account, EUR/USD rarely exceeds 0.8 pips even during quiet Tokyo hours, and XAUUSD stays tighter than most competitors. CoinExx is the best Asian session option for US and Canadian traders.
Which broker is best for the London session?
PU Prime delivers the tightest London session spreads on EUR/USD (sub-0.1 pip on Prime account). Exness is a very close second. JustMarkets is the best value for the London session if you are starting with a small account.
Can I trade forex 24 hours a day?
Forex trades 24 hours a day, 5 days a week from Sunday 22:00 GMT to Friday 21:00 GMT. All five brokers in this comparison offer full 24/5 access. The market does not close between sessions — it transitions from Asian to European to North American liquidity.
Which broker is best for the New York session?
Exness and CoinExx both deliver excellent New York session spreads. For US and Canadian traders who need CoinExx specifically, raw ECN pricing during the 13:00-21:00 GMT New York window is highly competitive on EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and XAUUSD.
Does spread widen outside major sessions?
Yes. Spreads naturally widen during the Asian session and especially at the 22:00 GMT daily rollover. Exness holds the most stable spreads during these off-peak periods. Avoid trading during the Sunday open (22:00-23:00 GMT) with any broker — gap risk is highest at this time.

Open a regulated broker — earn cashback for life

Reading is the first step. Open a live account with one of the brokers below and SignalPro pays you cashback on every lot you trade — winning or losing — for the lifetime of your account.

Trading involves risk of loss. Cashback rates are estimates based on standard lots; actual rebates depend on your account type and instrument. SignalPro receives an introducing-broker commission when you open an account through these links — at no extra cost to you.

What do you mainly trade?

Estimates show your actual share of cashback (approx. 10% of the broker IB rate). Actual earnings depend on broker, account type, and instrument. Cashback does not reduce trading risk or guarantee profit. Trading involves substantial risk of loss — you may lose more than you invest. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
