Definition

A deliberate move by institutional traders to push price into areas of clustered orders to fill their positions. Price quickly reverses after grabbing the liquidity.

Example

Price spiked above the previous week's high to grab buy-side liquidity, then reversed sharply 100 pips to the downside.
