Volatility Index

Definition

A category of synthetic indices with constant, defined volatility levels. Available in V10, V25, V50, V75, and V100, with each number representing the relative volatility intensity. Higher numbers mean faster, larger price swings.

Example

A trader chose V25 for swing trading because its lower volatility creates cleaner trends with smaller pullbacks.
